2019 Tutoring Calendar:

Nepean Tutoring adheres to the Department of Education and Communities schedule in regard to what constitutes a term of tuition.

Tutoring during public holidays or school term holidays is optional by mutual arrangement with your tutor.

Ethical Responsibilities

Nepean Tutors:

a. Will use their personal resources for the best educational outcomes of their students.

b. Aim to act as mentors by using their teaching and learning practices to enhance students self concept, confidence to learn and to assist student to understand their learning style.

c. Utilise their skills, to the best of their ability, to teach students with the objective to improve in the subjects in which they receive tuition, however does not accept responsibility for final exam results or assignment work grades.

Child Protection

a. An adult must always be present during tutoring sessions.

b. Tutoring must take place in a public area of the house.

Communication

Communication with Nepean Tutoring is as follows:

a. The Principal Operator will provide an obligation free telephone conversation in the first instance of the contact.

b. Issues relating directly to your tutoring schedule must be made through contact with your tutor via phone call or text.

c. Accounts issues should be communicated in writing to [email protected]

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

a. All individual lesson cancellation must be advised directly to your tutor.

b. A cancellation fee of one tuition session will be charged for cancellations received within 24 hours of scheduled lesson.

c. Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice will not be automatically charged, however do require a rescheduled lesson to take place within the same school term (inclusive of school term holidays).

Rescheduled lesson can be scheduled during school holidays, weekends or other available times during the week as per arrangement with your tutor.

d. Cancellations of the tutoring service requires two-weeks notice to be sent in writing to [email protected].

Payment Policy

a. Payment requests are sent prior to the commencement of each term and outline the term’s fees based on the lessons booked with the tutor. The full amount is due to be fully paid before the end of the term and each lesson must be paid in advance.

b. A minimum of two weeks fees ( i.e. week one and two) must be paid prior to the commencement of each tutoring term to secure your place with a tutor.

c. Fees must remain in advance throughout the tutoring term.

d. If payments fall into arrears a notice to pay and temporary cancellation of tutoring will occur. Tutorin can resume when payments are up to date.

e. When making bank deposits the invoice number AND student surname must be on the description for the deposits.

Full term amount payments are encouraged. Alternatively, weekly payments are to be made in exact weekly increments or multiples of weekly amountas per the fee on your credit request.

3. Direct Debit

Your credit card can be charged on the date of the lesson held.

Authorisation form MUST be filled in and submitted for this payment option to take place.
